There are 8.6 million disabled people registered in the UK and this group of consumers spend around £40 billion a year on goods and services.

 

Since 1st October 1999 all providers of goods and services have had to make ”reasonable adjustments” for disabled people, such as providing extra help or making changes to the way you deliver services or accommodate your employees.

 

Since 1st October 2004 you may have to make other “reasonable adjustments” to the physical features of your premises to overcome barriers to access.
