Automated doors, both fully automatic and power assisted are becoming increasingly popular. Not only do they provide a solution to compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act but also make it easy for customers to enter and exit your premises; especially the elderly and mothers with small children.Studies have shown that retail units with automatic doors attract more footfall than their competitors who have manual doors.

We are fitting automation in increasing numbers to residential front doors so the disabled occupant can enter and exit their home easily. We offer special rates to Housing Associations and Occupational Therapists for this type of work.

Our product range includes:

  • Aluminium and glass shop fronts, entrances, door and frame installations
  • Automatic sliding doors
  • Fully automatic swing doors
  • Low energy automatic swing doors - perfect for DDA compliance
  • Access control systems
  • Intercom systems with remote release facilities

Our range of access control solutions is for use in conjunction with our automatic operators. These are bespoke solutions designed to suit the customers’ requirements. These include audio and video call points which allow the visitor to be identified prior to opening the door from a remote location and proximity readers which allow authorised personnel automatic access to buildings or secure areas with optional tracking software to record their movements. We offer the latest biometric fingerprint scanners as a cost effective alternative to proximity readers, also with or without tracking software. We also offer an access control system that uses GSM technology which allows lost or stolen tags to be immediately deleted from the system without physically visiting site; no on-site telephone line or PC is required with this system.

We work closely with several aluminium fabricators to offer a full package for those clients who require new door leaves or a full shop front. However, most existing swing doors can be fitted with automation units to be either fully automatic with safety devices or on low energy being activated by push pads or key fobs. This offers an automated solution without the added cost of new door leaves.

There are several methods of activation available to open doors. For fully automatic installations radar or microwave sensors are used, for low energy installations, touch pads or keyfobs are good options. Numerical keypads, fingerprint scanners and proximity readers are installed where access to the building needs to be controlled, we can link new automation into any existing access control system.Every door is fitted with appropriate safety features to comply with BS7036 Safety at Automated Pedestrian Doors, and to ensure the best protection for your staff, customers or residents.
